12:10 Introduction & Group Activity

Youth will spend time meeting one another & engaging in an interactive activity.

1:00 p.m. Youth Facilitated Discussions on Critical Issues

Youth facilitators will lead groups of youth through discussions on critical issues facing youth today. Youth groups will meet and dialogue with youth and nonprofit leaders on topics such as: Workforce development & Labor Protections, Gender-based violence, and Environmental justice. Youth will be able to brainstorm issues important to them and vote for additional discussion topics.

2:30 p.m. 10 min Break

2:40 p.m. Preparation for Listening Session

Youth will select their topic of choice and break into groups led by youth facilitators & mentors who will spend the next 45 minutes engaging youth in a facilitated in-depth discussion. Youth will work together to create talking points for a presentation to present to Change-makers. 

Listening Session

3:30 p.m. Listening Session 

Designated speakers from each discussion group will take turns making presentations to Change-makers who will have the opportunity to respond to youth concerns and recommendations after each presentation. 
 
4:30 p.m. Session Adjournment

4:30-6 p.m. PIZZA PARTY & Open Mic!

Youth are invited to meet with vendors and activist organizations in the Bay Area while enjoying Pizza, Live Music, Open Mic, and Festivities.
