Worksafe invites Change Makers and Policy Makers to join us to mentor and listen to youth voice their opinions on critical issues affecting youth. On April 28th, Worker’s Memorial Day, Worksafe will bring youth and youth organizations together at our Youth Listening and Leadership Summit to be held in Downtown Oakland.

• Create a space for middle-school to high-school aged youth to connect and build leadership about critical issues
• Increase awareness of youth activism in the Bay Area
• Highlight climate justice and employment/labor issues (youth will have the opportunity to choose other topics as well)
• Mentor youth to create focused talking points for presentations to Change Makers

Change-makers will attend the conference between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. to listen to youth provide opinions and recommendations for critical issues affecting them. Change-makers are invited to provide commentary and responses to mentor youth to bring their voices to public and community spaces.
